Games Sponsering Games

As some of you might have noticed Max has started sponsoring some flash games on different portals around the web. We are obviously doing this to attract attention to our upcoming WiiWare™ title from gamers around the world. So, if you are here because you played one of the sponsored games: Welcome, we hope you will like Max & the Magic Marker.
Sponsoring games is an opportunity we have because of our stock of old flash games that we can spread through flash game portals and the MochiAds network. Plus it means that the world finally gets to play Press Play classics like Ragdoll Zombie Slayer – and honestly, how did the world ever live without it?

N.Alperson, I agree you may be correct in not seeing it work (most retail distributors would ignore this idea)but a person never knows what can happen unless they take risks and try.
What would be the worst thing that could happen the distributor would laugh at you and say no.
The real problem with this idea is Nintendo does not give WiiWare publishers a solid release date so they can not plan for it in advance.

Malouff, do you really think a game would put promote another competing game? I mean, it would be cool, I just don’t see it happening.

You guys should try and get some publicity of “Games Sponsoring Games” by seeing if any of the retail Wii games could add a banner for Max and the Magic marker on them.
I say this because I feel sorry for those Wii owners who never go online and will be missing out on great WiiWare games like Max and the Magic Marker.
Maybe you could also take advantage of Nintendo of Europe’s upcoming promotion where they want people to help others get their Wii’s online and are rewarding them with points and free games.
I wish Nintendo of America was also doing something like this.
